Description
Part 0: Introduction [link]
Part 1: Face (1) [link]
Part 3: Body - [link]
Part 4: Anthro/Fantasy - [link]
Re-Edit: Someone else did one of these tutorials too, and got a DD on it- [link]
He covers a lot of stuff I don't know how to do very well, like different eyebrows and eye shapes, so check him out!
Here's another useful tutorial, how to draw your own style. [link] This is where I got the idea of experimenting with drawing other people's styles from.
Edit: I didn't draw a whole lot of facial hair on here, so have some references from Google Images. (Word of caution- I don't know where all of these people took these images from, especially the Photobucket one.)
Mustaches - [link]
(mostly) Beards - [link]
Mustaches AND beards - [link]
1900s facial hair - [link]
~~~~~~~
FINALLY part 2 of my face tutorial! Good hair is totally overrated you guys.
References used:
-Drawing People by Barbara Bradley. I took quite a few ideas from this but all of the sketches are original and I added some of my own observations, like the super manly trapezoid face shape.
-Google image search brought up this for ears- [link]
(Apparently these are by some guy named Shawn Feeney)
-Glasses and sunglasses are referenced off of images looked up in a Google image search
-Anime eyes are loosely referenced off a search of anime eyes and characters on DA, combined with my own memory.
-I looked up 1960s hair on google image search to base my scary lady sketch on.
The bearded guy is a newer version of Stopicus from my oooooooooold comic Petmushroom, all the rest are random characters.
